This hotel is very nice. We liked the staff. All were pleasant. They brought up anything you asked for. They provided coffee, tea, hand and bath towels, shower cap, cotton swabs,, hairdryer, and there are toothbrushes for purchase. There is small "cafe" downstairs but no one running it. Nice restaurant on the second floor. Food is good. The rooms are secure. You can't get to them if you don't have a card. The card programs the elevator to go to your specific floor.
Each room has a couch with pillows, and chair/desk. Outlets accepted USA plugs. Safe and refrigerator and percolator were provided. Room was modern. Bathroom area has a modern touch. Nearby this hotel were several restaurants and a convenience store.

We were wanting to get away from beaches and to the countryside! We stayed in Seoul for a couple of days and then realised that there were lots of parks, woodlands, mountains and walks, so stayed in the city for 2 weeks and really enjoyed everything the city had to offer. There were museums that we visited, but many that we didn't have time for. A great city :)

We were within walking distance of most of the historical sites -- all of which are very well maintained. More distant attractions are easily reached by a very good subway system or by reasonably priced taxis. Shopping is excellent;; good food is everywhere. Seoul clearly competes well with the capital cities of Europe.

Seoul was colourful with loads to do.
Seoul was colourful with loads to do. A lot of the tourist spots were clustered together so it was easy to see a few things. A lot of the attractions were also free or very small cost. Sit down restaurant meals were affordable at around $10 per person, which makes travelling here as a family attainable while eating well. It was very easy to get around on the train but I found Uber worked best as we were travelling to the main tourist locations for taxi service. I never felt unsafe and there were loads to do and see. I loved the art scene and the artisan shopping areas.

Seoul has something for everyone, history, shopping, lots of parks, gardens, nightlife, street food, museums, art, awesome transportation that’s easy to use, tons of cafes with beautiful deserts, traditional smaller restaurants and bigger newer chains. Myself I hated to see chain restaurants like McDonald’s. Korea has such great food that’s healthy why have less healthy choices and lose your culture. Other countries have obesity due to poor food choices Korean people seem to be healthier I hope younger generations don’t fall into eating fast food and have less healthy kids. Overall Felt safe and very welcome in Seoul 💕. Lots of walking
My favourite places were palaces, markets, gardens, street food, beautiful places to walk day and nighttime 💕. Museums very modern spacious well worth taking a full day and if it’s a hot day great option! Tip: if you are sensitive to heat try shopping indoors rather seeing palaces on hot days. Palaces are so worth visiting and spending full day on cooler days

I stay 11 days and wasn't enough.
I stay 11 days and wasn't enough. Seoul is a beautiful city full of contrasting places. From the beautiful parks and scenarios, palaces and museums where you can learn the history of South Korea to the modern malls and cafes where you can enjoy shopping Korean skin care or having fancy coffees and snacks. I just love Seoul and will comeback again.
The room is comfortable, clean, and complete. I love that this is a Japanese style hotel with separate toilet and bath. The toilet has bidet. Even the toilet in the reception area also has bidet. Pajama is also provided and also humidifier. Amenities are excellent. Location is superb, easy to get bus, taxi, very close to Namdaemun market and within walking distance to Myeongdong (15-20 minutes). Subway is around 10 minutes walk. The staff speaks good English, Japanese, and Korean.
I like this place. No frills. nothing fancy. Firstly, it tells you before you book that this hotel is cheap and humble and not to expect 5 star luxury. With that in mind I expected worse. It wasn't too bad at all. Good location if you want to be near Gangnam. It is very close to the metro station. The host was very nice and showed me around. The room was small but would have been smaller if there had been a washroom there. The upside to having a shared bathroom in a goshiwan.
Conveniently located in the middle of Myeongdong and walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the subway station. Our stay was fantastic, and the staff was very accommodating (helping us a ton as we spoke very little Korean). We reserved a spa treatment which I would definitely recommend. The beds were very comfortable and helped to get over jet lag quickly. Clean & quiet rooms and overall 10 out of 10 hotel, will stay there again the next time we’re in Korea
The hotel is in a good location, literally 5 mins walk from DDP. Not too far from main tourist sites (Myeongdong, Hongdae etc). The area itself also has a lot to do and see near DDP like shops, cafes etc. The staff helped us with our bags at check-in and we had to modify our booking to leave early, which they helped us with. If you're only concerned about having a no frills place to stay/short stay (we only stayed 2 nights) and you're not fussy, then it's okay.
We loved this hotel. The hotel is right at the exit of a metro station with 3 different metro lines (especially the line 5 that connects it to Gimpo airport).
Our room was big and very clean and well organized
There is a nice rooftop, and the breakfast is both international and Korean.
It is really close to the main historical buildings of the city and the neighborhood is safe and with a lot of restaurants.
I would definitely suggest it.
The hotel is within walking distance from the heart of Myeongdong. One of the best features of this hotel is its convenient proximity to an airport bus stop. This made our early morning departure at 4:30 am for an 8 am flight hassle-free. Additionally, the staff at the hotel kindly assisted with bringing our luggage to the room upon check-in. One thing I really liked about this hotel was the big windows which made the room very bright.
i’ve stayed at a lot of hotels around seoul and this was by far the best place for the money. i can’t come up with anything bad to say about the hotel. even tho it was quite cheap it was super clean, comfy and the staff was very helpful and nice. as a foreigner living in korea it also makes me quite happy when staff speaks to me in korean instead of english, which they did. 5/5 stars. i loved my stay there. the location is also amazing
Although the room was very small, it was still comfortable enough for two people for a one week stay, keeping in mind we had a lot of luggage! It was nice to have a separate shower in the bathroom as this isn't always the case in South Korean hotels. The lobby on the top level was also a nice place to sit and enjoy the view of Myeongdong, have a cup of coffee or do your washing. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating.
We had the most best experience staying at Four Points thanks to Nancy at Front desk. Nancy was friendly and courteous who was always super informative with everything we needed. Thank you so much for providing a 5 star service Nancy! Room was very spacious, location was so great walking distance to Myeondong markets and hotel was surrounded with good restaurants all around. Definitely coming back to stay there again next time.
The location is one of the best in Seoul. From a travelling standpoint, Seoul is divided into a few areas such Hongdae for the exciting student vibe, Myeongdong for shopping, Gangnam for the glitz and Ferraris, Itaewon for foodies, Insadong Seoul for a traditional vibe and so on.
Mercure has the absolute best location for Hongdae, just a minute’s walk from the station and central to all the action without any compromise.
My friends and I booked J garden hotel day of! It is tiny but very comfortable and clean. The host was excellent with communication. We are tourists and are still figuring out how to navigate South Korea. The hosts responsiveness was very appreciated and the check in instructions were very detailed and helpful. The location is great as well. It is about a 5 min walk to myeong dong station and market. Thank you!
I heard South Korean hotel rooms are pretty small so I searched until I found one that was big enough. This one was perfect for 2 guests. We had plenty of counter space and a sofa. The room was very nice and clean. There was a 24-hour convenience store in the lobby and was within walking distance of a few stations and food. It was a very lovely stay and would definitely book here again the next time we visit.
I needed to stay here just for a couple of nights before leaving to Incheon airport and leave Korea, so this hotel was perfect because of its position. If you have heavy luggage it is very convenient from Seoul Station because there is an elevator coming out of the subway stop very close to the hotel. BUT there is NOT an elevator in the hotel. Luckily the staff was very nice and helped me with my heavy bags.
My friend and I took forever deciding where we were going to stay here in Korea, so we booked here last minute, and we were happy that we chose this hotel. We like the location, since it's in a quiet area and not really a popular area. It is a 16 min walk to the train station but it doesn't feel like it, whenever we walk it feels less than 10 min . We kept extending our stay until we left for Busan.
This is our first time to Seoul, Korea. We are glad that we chose the right hotel to stay. Koreana hotel is very strategically located and everything just a walking distant. We love the ambient of the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to book our ride back to the airport. We will definitely be staying in Koreana Hotel during all our future trips to Korea.
Location is great. Subway exit 4 (with elevator) and exit 9 (stairs) are right in front of hotel. Bus stop and airport bus stop are also in front of hotel. Easy access to most places both Seoul and Gangnam sides within 20-40 mins subway or bus ride. The room is large enough for a group of 3 to stay comfortably (can open 3 of 28” luggages at the same time).
Very friendly and helpful staff. Daily housekeeping. Close to everything. Highly recommended for people like me, who loves reading negative reviews before deciding where to stay. I didn't regret my decision. One of the best modern hotels in Seoul with a reasonable price, if you book early.
Modern, Clean hotel & good location. I was so happy to have a laundry room in the hotel for my long stay in South Korea !
Subway station, convenient store and cafes situated just next to the hotel.
Good hotel, acceptable location. Clean rooms - everything was OK. Recommend if You want to stay in gangnam, because you have like 12 minutes walk to the subway.
